For our pre-launch, contributors are volunteering their enthusiasm, time, stories and songs in support of this vision that we all share. We will be co-creating the compensation plan for our creators together as our community of subscribers grows, at which point you will start to earn monthly payouts. It is our desire to provide an opportunity for conscious storytellers and songwriters to experience multiple benefits and feelings of reciprocity through their involvement with StoryNest. THE
STORYNEST VISION
We believe in audio stories as an amazing way to build the imagination of children (without the downsides of screen time), and we know the power of a good story to uplift our hearts and even give us tools to navigate our lives.
As parents, we quickly discovered that just because something is labeled as a “story for kids”, that doesn’t mean the content is good for children. Many of the stories are overstimulating, heartbreaking, scary, confusing, or filled with messages that are simply not appropriate.
So, we decided, after much discussion with friends, elders, and community members, to co-create a place for children to safely explore stories that would always be age-appropriate, nourishing, and wholesome:
An app that parents, grandparents, and teachers can trust to soulfully expand the imagination of young children without any downsides.

We are currently accepting audio stories and songs from conscious creators worldwide, in English, for our audience of children ages 3-9.

You are interested in being part of a community of creators who are committed to excellence in their craft and actively creating at least 4 audio stories/songs per year.
You currently have 6 or more high-quality audio stories/songs, OR you are the author of written children’s stories that you would like to have produced into audio so that they can be a part of StoryNest. If you are a storyteller without audio recordings, please apply and we'll discuss possibilities.
Your content meets our acceptance criteria.
HOW IT WORKS
All of the stories and songs we receive will be reviewed to ensure that the content is suitable for our audience and resonant with the values and vibe of StoryNest.
If we select your story/song, you will have the opportunity to come on board as a StoryNest Contributor. From here we will work together to get your wonderful creations out to the children who will be so happy to listen to them!
OPTION 1
Submit in Audio Format
If you submit an audio story or song, depending on the quality, we may approve it for our platform as-is. If we love the content but feel the voice or the quality of the sound need improvement, we will make suggestions.
OPTION 2
Submit in text Format
If you submit a text-based story, after approval, you will have the opportunity to have your story matched with one of our StoryNest professional voice artists and turned into a high-quality audio experience as a co-creation.

ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA
This refers to the audio quality, the voice, the music (if included) and most importantly the message and the vibe of the story, and how well-suited we feel your stories are to our age group.
You will find that our definition of what is appropriate for children is very strict compared to the dominant opinion on what is appropriate for children.

AGE APPROPRIATE
At StoryNest, “age-appropriate” means that the stories match the social, mental, spiritual, and physical developmental level of the child. The challenges, lessons, and level of complexity will increase as the child’s natural capacity and experience in life broadens.
GENTLE & NOURISHING
It is critical to our mission to ensure that StoryNest is truly a sanctuary for even the most sensitive children, and that the content is thoughtfully created with an understanding of how open the hearts are and sponge-like the minds are of children.
HIGH QUALITY
Audio files must be crisp and professional, most ideally created in a studio, or at home with a professional-quality microphone.
Music/sound effects are optional. We find that simple is best, as children are mostly focused on the words of the storyteller.
GENTLE & NOURISHING
The vibe of what we are looking for is best communicated by listening to a few sample clips of stories produced by other successful StoryNest contributors, or ideally subscribing to the app to gain a better understanding of the stories and songs.

As our community of subscribers grows, you will start to earn monthly payouts as a StoryNest Contributor.
It is our desire to provide an opportunity for conscious storytellers and songwriters to experience multiple benefits and feelings of reciprocity through their involvement with StoryNest.

STORIES/SONGS
We recognize that some authors have devoted years of their lives creating content and we want to reward prolific creators of high quality stories/songs. This represents your contribution as a percentage, relative to the total number of stories/songs on StoryNest.
ACTIVE
CONTRIBUTOR
We are all working together to support this vision, and we want to recognize those who are engaged producing new stories each quarter (minimum 4 per year).
