Yes. Many of our listeners are young children who have never held a device before. You can play the story for them from a phone, tablet, computer, or a connected portable speaker. Or, you can use wired or blue-tooth headphones so that your child can listen at home or on the go with the phone in your possession. The app will continue playing in the background even while you are using your phone (e.g. checking email, or browsing the web. As long as you don't do anything that takes over the phone's audio like watching a video, or making a phone call.)
